Rangers announce coaching staff including Carlos Cardoza for Hickory
The Rangers announced their new coaching staffs for their Minor-League affiliates except Nashville; which is still to be announced. We know the Rangers are putting more of an emphasis on analytics and there seems to be a youth movement with these promotions.

Former Rangers catcher, Bobby Wilson, will be managing the Frisco RoughRiders. I am excited to see how the RoughRiders perform under Wilson.
Down East Wood Ducks (Dewds)
Josh Johnson– not to be confused with the former pitcher- is going to be leading the DEWDS. Johnson has plenty of playing experience in the farm system with the Royals and the Washington Nationals. He was on the coaching staff of the Crawdads this year so he will be moving up a level. Last season was his first one with our Rangers so he is promoting quickly here.
Carlos Cardoza will manage the Hickory Crawdads
Carlos Cardoza managed the Arizona League Rangers to a Championship this year. He previously managed in the Dominican Summer-League and brings a winning pedigree with him.

Spokane
Sean Cashman, 32, was the pitching coach for the Arizona League Rangers and is now going to manage the Spokane Indians. He used to pitch for the Saint Peter’s and coach Saint Peter’s Peacocks. He’s got an interesting back-story as well as he was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery.
This post is in regards to the managers but will be updated to include all of the coaching staff. It is clear to me that the Rangers want to continue their winning ways into 2020.
